MCDC is an international dance company collaborating worldwide with a collective of driven, creative, like-minded artists from different backgrounds.
MDCD’s mission is to challenge creativity; explore diversity of urban and contemporary styles and broaden audiences experience within dance.
MCDC was founded by Artistic Director and Choreographer Michaela Cisarikova in 2014 in London and started as a project based company, working on individual projects across the UK, Europe and Kenya.
Michaela always encourages dancers to share their individual techniques and practices to facilitate a collaborative and versatile creative process.
Commissions and performances include: Breakin' Convention at Sadler's Wells, Emerge Festival, Abundance International Festival, Resolution 2017, The Living Advent Calendar at Folkestone, East London Dance, Junction Dance, The Space Theatre, The Broadway Theatre, The Longfield Hall, Stara Arena (Czech Republic), Dom Kultury Cadca (Slovakia), Nakuru Players Theatre (Kenya), Footprint Festival and others.
MCDC is open to challenges; working within short time frames to produce high-quality work for different spaces or for camera.
The urge to take on new challenges led MCDC to conceptualize the One Move Show; a choreographic challenge where participants are restricted to create pieces using only one move.
MCDC constantly seeks unique performance opportunities, which challenge creativity, develop character work, and broaden the audience experience of dance.
The Company explores diversity of dance styles, celebrating its dancers’ talents, pushing their limitations and constantly expanding their artistic potential, while supporting their own personal growth and ambitions.
